Dude Perfect Birthday Party
This year, our boys wanted a Dude Perfect themed birthday party. I instantly began brainstorming! There were activities to plan, decorations to come up with, and signage to create! This is how it went:
When the kids arrived, they each got a score card on a string to keep around their neck for the duration of the games. I kept a permanent marker on me to mark each card as we went along.
- We counted the kids off by 1’s and 2’s and they kept that number for the duration of the games. For LEVEL 1 (Stacking Cup Challenge), we split the group into two groups (1’s in one room and 2’s in the other) each with 50 solo cups. When we yelled, “Go!” the first team to build a structure with ALL of their cups won. Each person on the winning team received 100 points. We would then write “100” next to Level One on their score card.
2. We then went outside where the kids participated in LEVEL 2 (Frisbee Trick Shot). They got in a line (I drew a chalk line they had to stand behind) and each kid had 3 tries to throw the Frisbee into the ladder. They received the total of points they were able to achieve based on which rung they got the Frisbee through. *PS Yes we had Ned Forrester in attendance.
3. We continued our activities outside with LEVEL 3 (Candy Trick Shot). We put 2 kids in the front with 5 pieces of candy each. We gave each of them a partner and they stood a ways behind them with a bucket. The kids in front had to throw the candy one at a time without looking behind them an the kids behind them had to try to catch the candy bars. This was a an absolute hit! For every candy bar made in the bucket, 25 points were awarded.
4. For our last outdoor activity, we hit up LEVEL 4 (Basketball Trick Shot). The kids stood in a line (again behind a chalk line) and had to shoot a basketball backwards. They had 3 tries. For every basket they made, they received 100 points. *Can you spot Ned Forrester?
5. For LEVEL 5 (Water Bottle Flip Challenge) each kid had a water bottle that they got to flip onto a game board I drew. You could easily do this activity outside with chalk instead if you prefer. If I had this to do over again, I would do it with chalk, and I would set up multiple game boards because using one poster board took a little while. Each kid had 5 tries to flip the bottle and have it land COMPLETELY inside one of the circles. They would add up the points from their successful flips and put the total on their score card.
6. Last but by no means least was NED FORRESTER at LEVEL 6 (Wheel Unfortunate). This was hysterical! Ned would spin the wheel, and the unfortunate kiddo had to do whatever the wheel landed on in order to receive 100 points. We had fun coming up with ideas to put on the wheel. Here are a few:
• Play a song on the piano
• Lead the group in Baby Shark (I had the song ready to go)
• Talk to an object for 1 minute (should have done 30 seconds, but it was still pretty funny)
• Eat a mustard packet
• Eat a piece of banana with no hands
• Win a quarter
• Lead the group in the Chicken Dance (I also had the music queued up for this)
• Do the Floss

Finally, we tallied up all of the points and gave out mini trophies (I played the music from the Olympics in the background). I also had a large bucket of toys from Walmart that the kids could pick out.
After all of the activities, we had a pizza bar where kids could make their own pizzas. We had cake and then we turned on Dude Perfect. There were a ton of kids there who had never seen it before and got a kick out of it!
Before everyone left, we gave out these fun little cans of Pringles with backboards and a Ping Pong ball. The backboard gives instructions on how to play the game.
Overall, I think the kids had a ball and I had a blast watching them enjoy it!
